God confronts the sin of the people being comfortable and separating their worship and secular lives. The decay of the temple while they lived in prosperity reflected this. God challenges us to action to correct this.

God’s instruction to Hosea to marry an unfaithful wife sets a picture for God’s broken hearted relationship with his people and us. And yet the message is all about forgiveness and God pursuing his beloved children to gather them back in.
