Stroke Club

Stroke Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, at the Church, in the large hall, between 9.45am-11.30am (term time). Each session costs just £3.00 to attend. It is open to anyone who has suffered from a stroke or has a similar restricting heart condition and who does not require nursing type care during club activities. It is run by volunteers (who have all had CRB clearance).

We usually spend some time trying to untangle a quiz sheet, writing down the answers with or without help. We have tea, coffee, cake and biscuits and answers to the quiz. Most Wednesdays another volunteer comes along to lead us in some gentle exercises, appropriate to each.
Occasionally we join together for a game of bingo or another game and very so often we go out for a meal together (spouses and /carers are invited to join us).
